Dude, you rock.Wish I knew thiis when I tore into my 1970 Pontiac the other day- that tab is a PITA.
PS just remember on newer GMs (discovered this on my 1989 Silverado) the cylinder doeesn’t have that annoying tab holding it in- it’s got a thick pin that you MUST remove. Trying the slide hammer trick on that would destroy the column.
I sure hope this works. Lost the key to my mothers old 73 chevy car and don’t wish to get a lock smith being selling the car for parts. Thanks for the video and will have a go at it.
