I got a car that had a freshly “rebuilt” 4l30e and the clowns that tried to put it together bent a steel washer inside the box that shreded and damaged other stuff, they also forgot to put in one of the 3 friction discs in one of the clutch packs and first gear moved to the pan when the two remaining discs burned out. They also used a couple self tapping screws to replace stripped out pan bolts, only tightened 3 of the 6 bolts holding the transfer case to the transmission and not only was one of the bell housing bolts missing when I went to pull the transmission, but i found that only three of the 7 bolts were the correct size and thread, they ruined the threads on the motor so now that’s just great and I’ve gotta helicoil that before I can build an adapter and put a slightly better automatic transmission in there.
What do you say for a $5900 job? Dealer wanted $12,000.
These images in the top right corner! 🤣🤣🤣
Advice please: Honda Pilot 2004 135K miles. Transmission going out. No other issues. Replace Transmission or get a used replacement for $20k?
