There are pros and cons to each type of car part (OEM and Aftermarket), and I speak about each of those pros and cons. At the end of the day, it’s all about what you are looking for. If you are looking for perfect fitment, and are willing to pay a premium price, the OEM is the way to go. 1. Buying aftermarket is always a gamble, sometimes you save money, sometimes the parts are cheap crap that don’t last long, you get what you pay for

  2. Just personal opinion, but OEM is generally a lot more expensive than After Market. But who wants to risk a failure with a water pump, a sensor or something like that. For some items that are big or run of the mill, like a radiator, it doesn’t really matter for most cars.
The other option is the junkyard (Pick N Pull). I used to go there a lot during tough financial times. Check to see if they have your car in advance, and make sure you go fully equipped.
